The Lions have lined up their second interview in their search for a new head coach after firing Jim Caldwell Monday morning.

According to Albert Breer of the MMQB, Detroit will sit down with Houston Texans defensive coordinator Mike Vrabel Wednesday morning.

Vrabel, a former linebacker that played with the Patriots from 2001-2008 when Lions GM Bob Quinn was a scout in New England is the second interview the Lions have scheduled for their head coaching vacancy.

Detroit is scheduled to interview their current defensive coordinator Teryl Austin today and have been linked to a laundry list of potential candidates including Patriots DC Matt Patricia, Panthers DC Steve Wilks, Packers linebackers coach Winston Moss and Vikings OC Pat Shumur among others.
