Teez Tabor

The Lions continued to draft an area of need instead of a luxury when they took Florida corner Teez Tabor 53rd overall in tonight’s NFL Draft.

Detroit desperately needed a corner opposite of Darius Slay and get a guy in Tabor who’ll probably challenge for that number two spot right out of camp.

He’ll be a nice compliment to Slay too as quarterbacks in college targeted Tabor’s coverage just 143 times. In return the Florida corner held QB’s to 41.2 percent when eyeing his part of the field while intercepting nine passes and breaking up 23.

There are some concerns with his combine speed however what ultimately matters is what the guy can do on the field and what he can do on the field fits what the Lions are looking for.
