Unsurprisingly on Monday the Detroit Lions released embattled wide receiver Titus Young after a season in which the second year player sabotaged the offense and alienated himself from the rest of the locker room.

On top of all this, Young in recent weeks made a further fool of himself daring the Lions to release him on his Twitter page.

Titus though probably didn’t realize that the rosters were frozen until after the Super Bowl meaning the Lions couldn’t make any moves until today. But at least Mr. Young Sr. hasn’t taken to the social media platform in the wake of the release to embarrass himself anymore.

Either way though the Lions have wasted another high draft pick on a player that had his baggage from the get go. Now the Lions have just two players (out of five total picks) on the roster from the 2011 draft, DT Nick Fairley and RB Mikel Leshoure.
