The Detroit Lions announced Friday that they re-signed veteran backup quarterback Dan Orlovsky with the contract terms not being disclosed according to the Detroit Free Press.

Orlovsky, a former fifth round pick back in 2005 out of UConn for the Lions has spent 11 total years in the NFL with six of those seasons in Detroit. After the 2008 season, Orlovsky was signed by the Houston Texans before heading over to the Indianapolis Colts for the 2011 season and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

Throughout his career, Orlovsky has made an appearance in 26 total games while starting 12 of those. According to the Freep, within those 12 seasons Orlovksy has made 298 passes on 512 attempts (58.2-percent) for 3,132 yards and 15 touchdowns.
