The Lions added a wide receiver Friday night claiming undrafted rookie Reese Wiggins off waivers (via New England) while at the same time cutting veteran wide out Naaman Roosevelt to make room.

Signing with the Patriots on May 27th the 5-foot-11, 185-pound Wiggins (23) caught 80 passes for 1,012 yards and eight touchdowns with East Carolina from 2010-2013. Meanwhile Roosevelt caught 25 passes for 396 yards and one TD with Buffalo from 2010 to 2011 before being signed by the Lions this past April.

Currently Detroit has 12 wide receivers on the roster as training camp looms near. Rookies are scheduled to report on July 22nd while veterans are scheduled for July 27th.
