Lions tight end Eric Ebron went from his Achilles possibly torn apart, to ‘ehhh… it’s not as bad as we thought but he will still miss some time’ to ‘Hell, he might actually be ready week one’.

According to ESPN’s Adam Caplan, ‘barring setback’ Ebron could be ready to go in the regular season opener agains the Indianapolis Colts. But not only that, he could actually play in the preseason finale against the Bills.

Regular season opener… fine. However the Lions would be idiots to play the guy in the last preseason game of the year. Give him the extra reps in practice to you can at least have more control over the stress put forth on that injured ankle.

In other news, ESPN’s Josina Anderson tweets the Lions have made ‘preliminary inquires’ on Keenan Lewis.
