Lions

The Detroit Lions as well as the rest of the NFL released their 2017 schedules tonight and like anything Detroit football related, fans can now chart which days the second half 0f the year their blood pressure will be highest.

To highlight the season, the Lions will begin play at home against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, September 1oth at 1 PM.

Detroit will also have a total of three prime time games, including two road Monday night games. In week two they’ll play the Giants on the road and will once again take to the road to take on NFC North rival Green Bay in week nine.

Speaking of prime time games, the Lions will have consecutive prime time games coming off their bye in week seven against Steelers at home on Sunday, October 29th before taking to the road for the Monday night tilt against the Pack.

The Thanksgiving home matchup will once again be against the Minnesota Vikings.

Other notables on the schedule:

  • The Lions will host the NFC champion Atlanta Falcons in week three.
  • They don’t have any consecutive road games which is a plus.
  • On Christmas Eve, the Lions will head down to Cincinnati to play the Bengals.
  • Detroit will finish out the regular season and 2017 with a New Year’s Eve matchup against the Packers at home.
