With the NFL schedules set to be released in a couple of weeks still, it appears as though one weekly opponent has been settled upon thanks to a leak from the team’s website.

According to their website, the Buffalo Bills will apparently be the Lions’ opponent on the teams traditional Thanksgiving Day game marking the return of former head coach Jim Schwartz to the opposing sideline.

Here’s how the website leaked the information in a 13 things to know about the Bills’ upcoming year:

Bills first year defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz will make his first visit to Ford Field on the opposing sideline after he served as the Lions’ head coach for the previous five years.

Buffalo and Detroit will meet for the 10th time in the regular season in 2014. The Bills have played in eight previous Thanksgiving Day games (4-4) in team history with their last appearance on Turkey Day coming in 1994.

Despite the leak though the match up with the Bills on Thanksgiving isn’t really surprising. First the game is being televised on CBS meaning it’s already a foregone conclusion that the opponent for Detroit will be an AFC team. Not to mention only two AFC teams are scheduled to visit Detroit in 2014 which include Miami and Buffalo.

So there you have it. Lions fans get to eat their turkey pop antacid tablets hoping that Jim Schwartz and the Buffalo Bills don’t ruin the rest of the day.
