Sorry AK Bars Kazan fans, it appears that you won’t be obtaining the services of Pavel Datsyuk.
According to Sovietsy Sport, Red Wings star Pavel Datsyuk has signed a deal to play with CSKA Moscow of the Kontinental Hockey League, a team general managed by former Red Wing Sergei Fedorov. The news of this comes despite earlier reports that Datsyuk signed with AK Bars Kazan also of the KHL. Those reports however were later deemed inaccurate.
In addition to Datsyuk, Red Wings defenseman Jakub Kindl tweeted this morning that he’s joined the Czech club Pardubice.
