Jim Leyland reveals opening day lineup, Santiago at second, Raburn DH

Jim Leyland revealed his opening day lineup for Thursday’s game against the Boston Red Sox from Comerica Park. This would also be the same lineup that that combined for 16 hits Monday en route to an 11-8 win against the Toronto Blue Jays.

A couple things of note include Raburn opening the season at DH. Manager Jim Leyland said he will spend most of his time at the second base position.

With Brandon Inge starting the season on the 15-day DL, Ramon Santiago will begin the season at second base with Delmon Young starting in left field (after being pretty vocal about not wanting to DH).

Here is the full lineup…

1. Austin Jackson, CF
2. Brennan Boesch, RF
3. Miguel Cabrera, 3B
4. Prince Fielder, 1B
5. Delmon Young, LF
6. Ryan Raburn, DH
7. Jhonny Peralta, SS
8. Alex Avila, C
9. Ramon Santiago, 2B

RHP Justin Verlander, P.
