For the fifth time in four years, Jhonas Enroth has found himself as the property of another NHL team.

Early Wednesday morning it was announced that the Maples Leafs dealt Enroth to the Anaheim Ducks for a seventh-round pick in 2018.

Enroth will report to Anaheim’s minor league affiliate in San Diego who recently lost goaltender Dustin Tokarski. For the Leafs, Enroth became more expendable after claiming Curtis McElhinney off waivers.

Enroth’s first stint in southern California (previously with the Kings) ended in part to his desire for more playing time and a possible starters role. Seen by some around the league as somewhat as an underrated goaltender, it seemingly looks as though those minutes are only going to come in the minors, at least for the time being.
