I’m not sure you can really say the Red Wings stole Game 1 in Boston Friday night considering Detroit certainly played well enough the entire night to earn the victory. However one thing’s for certain, Pavel Datsyuk’s goal late in the third period to give the Wings a 1-0 lead in the series was a thing of beauty.
With three minutes left in the game, Datsyuk took possession in the neutral zone with a pretty kick pass to himself before beating Tuukka Rask glove side.
The only thing shocking? The Bruins thinking to themselves that they’re down 1-0 with home ice lost.
