The need for Sheed? Pistons in talks to bring on Rasheed Wallace as an assistant coach

In the midst of the NBA Draft night the Pistons were potentially making news that didn’t have anything to do with potential picks or prospects.

According to the New York Daily News, Detroit is in talks to bring in former Piston Rasheed Wallace to be part of newly hired Maurice Cheek’s coaching staff.

Wallace was an intricle part of the Pistons’ 2004 Championship and their run of Eastern Conference Finals appearances. He last played for the New York Knicks this past season after coming out of retirement but once again announced his playing days were over when the regular season came to an end.
