ALL BETS ARE OFF: Wings force Game 7 with thrilling OT win

After blowing a 2 goal lead with just about 4 minutes remaining in the third period, captain Henrik Zetterberg gave the Wings a 4-3 OT win sending the Western Conference quarterfinals back to Anaheim for a deciding Game 7.

Zetterberg also played the hero at the end of regulation when he hit the post with under a minute remaining after the Ducks were able to tie the game in the span of 51 seconds. Still though Zetterberg picked the perfect game to get himself on the scoring sheet in these playoffs scoring his first and second goals of the postseason.

Jimmy Howard was equally as amazing for the Wings making big save after big save to help the Wings earn the victory.

Still though there is some cause for concern and some things that leave you wondering.

First, what’s with all the giveaways Filppula? He may be costing himself some money heading into free agency. Second, did Corey Perry get away with a trip on Red Wings defenseman Kyle Quincey just seconds before Bobby Ryan was able to get the game tying goal? It doesn’t matter now but again it leaves you wondering if the Wings could’ve have this one wrapped up earlier.

Nonetheless Game 7 is set for Sunday in Disneyland.
