According to Danny Knobler of CBS Sports, the Tigers have returned infielder Jeff Kobernus back to the Washington Nationals.
Tigers announce they've returned Rule V draft pick Jeff Kobernus to the Nationals.

Selected in the Rule 5 Draft by the Boston Red Sox from Washington at the end of the Winter Meetings in Nashville. Kobernus was later traded to the Tigers for utility man Justin Henry.
Looking to make the Tigers roster, Kobernus had a tough spring hitting just .220 with an OBP of .291. And given the rules of the Rule 5 Draft, any player selected (even if traded) must stay on the current team’s 25 man roster for the entire season or be sent back to their parent club in which case was the Nationals.
What is a little surprising about the move is the fact that some sort of trade couldn’t be worked out between Detroit and Washington.
Kobernus does have some appealing aspects to his game being a consistent .280 hitter in the minors while swiping 42 bags in 82 games for Harrisburg last season.
With the move, the door for non-roster invitees Don Kelly and Matt Tuiasosopo has opened up to make the opening day roster.
