Detroit Titans Basketball: 60 ft. McCallum lob to Anderson slams Alabama State 81-68


The Titans improved their home winning streak to 13-games and moved a game above the .500 mark Monday night as they defeated winless Alabama State 81-68 from Calihan Hall in Detroit.

Senior Nick Minnerath led the way for the Titans scoring a season high 22 points while Juwan Howard, Jr. matched his season high of 16 points while going 6 of 12 and 4 of 5 from beyond the arc. Ray McCallum added 15 points and eight assists while Jason Calliste also was in double figures with 11 points and five assists.

The play of the night though came when McCallum fed Doug Anderson with a 60 foot lob from mid-court in the first half. Anderson finished with a monster dunk bringing the Titans within one 30-29.

Anderson finished his night eight points and six rebounds.

Detroit has now gone on an 18 game winning streak when scoring 80 points or more and are also undefeated (5-0) at Calihan Hall this season.
