Detroit junior guard Ray McCallum had 25 points however the Titans couldn’t overcome a poor shooting first half as they fell to Bowling Green 70-65 from the Stroh Center in Bowling Green, Ohio.
The Titans were just 8-28 from the field in the first half however kept things relatively close at half time trailing the Falcons 34-30.
Shooting wise things got better for Detroit in the second half going 13 for 28 while Bowling Green was just 9 for 25. However the Falcons shot nearly 43 percent beyond the arc and made most of their free throws (12-13) to seal the victory.
Three of Detroit’s five starters scored in double figures including Nick Minnerath who had 17 points and Doug Anderson who had 10 points. Meanwhile though the Titans got little production off the bench as the reserves totaled 4 points in 33 total minutes on the night
