The Pistons bounced back after a lopsided preseason loss to the Heat with an 85-80 win over the Charlotte Bobcats Saturday night from The Palace.
Second year guard Brandon Knight had 15 points while Greg Monroe added 15 points and seven rebounds in the winning effort.
Kemba Walker scored 15 and Tyrus Thomas had 14 points and 16 rebounds for the Bobcats.
Saturday night’s matchup also marked the return of the Ben Gordon to The Palace for the first time since being traded during the offseason for Corey Maggette. The former Piston, Gordon scored 13 points on 4-of-15 shooting including a big three pointer giving the Bobcats a late lead with 3:06 left in the fourth.
Meanwhile Maggette is day-t0-day with a left calf strain.
