The Indianapolis Colts pulled off a monster trade Wednesday afternoon getting former third overall pick Trent Richardson from the Cleveland Browns for a first round draft pick in 2014.
Colts owner Jim Irsay sent several tweets out earlier today teasing of a ‘MONSTER’ trade in the works for the Colts who recently lost Vick Ballard for the entire season.

Richardson who was drafted out of Alabama third overall in 2012 NFL Draft was pretty vital in Cleveland success last season. In five games last year where Richardson received 20 touches he averaged 95.8 yards and the Browns went 3-2. However when he received less than 20 touches Richardson averaged 45.1 yards while Cleveland went 2-8 in those games. Fast forward to this season the now second year back carried the ball 13 times for 47 yards in a season-opening loss to Miami. He also recently expressed a desire to become more involved in the offense.

He should definitely get that in Indianapolis.

And to offset the loss of Richardson the Browns are ready to sign free agent RB Willis McGahee pending a physical.
