The Titans hold off James Madison for 82-70 win

After a strong shooting game in the first half the Detroit Titans defeated James Madison 82-70 in the SEARS BracketBusters affair from Calihan Hall in Detroit.

The Titans converted 15 of their first 19 shots to open up a 18 points lead but had to stave off a JMU comeback in the second to preserve the win.

Jason Calliste led the way for the Titans with 19 points and was one of five U-D players to score in double figures. LaMarcus Lowe, Doug Anderson and Evan Bruinsma each had 10 points while senior Donovan Foster had 12 points. James Madison’s A.J. Davis led all scorers with 26 points.

The Titans now take to the road for the final two regular season games. Detroit will take on Cleveland State Thursday before a key matchup with Youngstown-State that will surely determine postseason tournament position.
