The Pistons were jettison back down to earth Sunday night after a 98-77 loss to the Washington Wizards from The Palace.
The loss snapped the Pistons’ 4 game winning streak but worst of all it came to a team in the Wizards that only had one win on the road prior to Sunday night.
Nick Young added 22 points for the Wizards while Greg Monroe had a game-high 27 for Detroit.
The Pistons were right with the Wizards at the half as the score was tied 45 all. However a 22-2 run by the Wizards in the third quarter that carried over to the fourth silenced the Pistons for good.
As a matter of fact, it got so bad for the Pistons that rookie point guard Brandon Knight’s mask came loose, and he ended up tossing it to a fan. A Palace employee however retrieved the mask at the end of the quarter.
