Yes you heard that right.
After shooting 53.4 percent from the field the Detroit Pistons have won their third straight game with a 99-92 win over the New Jersey Nets from Newark, New Jersey.
Greg Monroe once again provided the spark the Pistons needed scoring seven points in the last six and a half minutes of the fourth quarter. This included a massive slam dunk towards the end of the game which left New Jersey’s Keith Bogans limping off the court.
Monroe finished the night with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Another double-double to add to what has become a nightly occurrence for himself.
The long-awaited rest for the Pistons also seemed to pay off as Ben Gordon made his way back into the lineup after suffering from a shoulder injury. He finished the night with 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting.
New Jersey tried to make a comeback turning the game over to Deron Williams and Farmar, who scored 19 of their team’s 28 points in the third quarter. That duo scored a combined 56 points for the Nets who were able to get the Nets to a 74-67 disadvantage before the end of the third quarter.
