Brandon Knight suffers broken nose in Pistons 89-87 win over the Hornets

Greg Monroe had another big night scoring 24 points while getting 16 rebounds as the Pistons won their second straight game beating the New Orleans Hornets 89-87 Saturday night from The Palace.

Despite the win though Pistons rookie guard Brandon Knight left the game in the first quarter after suffering what was later determined to be a broken nose. He didn’t return and finished the night with 2 points and one rebound.

Meanwhile the Hornets were also without their top guard as Jarrett Jack missed the game with a knee injury.

The Hornets led 44-41 at the half, but Monroe helped the Pistons take a 65-61 lead into the fourth quarter.

After the game it was reported that Knight would have his nose re-set Sunday and be fitted with a mask on Monday. He could return to practice on Tuesday.
