Michigan gets big surprise commitment in 4-star Detroit tailback Dennis Norfleet, sign all 25 verbals

It certainly was a good day for Brady Hoke and the Michigan football program as they signed all 25 of their verbal commitments.

The biggest surprise of the day though came when Detroit King 4-star tailback Dennis Norfleet withdrew his verbal commitment from Cincinnati to sign a letter of intent to the University of Michigan.

Those kinds of numbers are comparable to current Michigan backup tailback Vincent Smith, who was listed as 5-foot-8, 165 pounds coming out of Pahokee (Fla.) High School and posted a 4.62-second 40-yard time, according to Scout.

Because of Norfleet’s size he figures to be not only an intracle part of the offense as a back and slot receiver but he could also help out on the special teams as a punt and kick returner.
