What a different story a week could tell.

Last week, DeAndre Jordan was apparently packing up his locker at the Staples Center and skipping out of LA having to never deal with CP3’s antics the supposed lack of appreciation in the Doc Rivers system. Last night though it finally became official that Jordan in fact wouldn’t spurn the Clippers to join the Mavs and instead re-sign with Los Angeles on a four-year deal worth an estimated $88M with an opt out clause after year three.

Below is an elated Doc Rivers pictured with Baby Dre signing his extension.

It may be important to note that Rivers and CP3 were said to be leading contingent to grovel at the feet of Jordan and beg him to stay with the Clippers.

Mark Cuban was obviously not too pleased by the outcome. He also wasn’t too happy with Chris Broussard’s erroneous claim that Cuban was driving around Houston Wednesday night trying to find Jordan’s house to talk to him.

I believe Cuban referred to Broussard’s tweet as the ‘dumbest sh*t he’s ever heard’.

Broussard still has a job but Olbermann doesn’t? I guess that’s argument for another day. Nonetheless the Clippers are going to be pretty good again this upcoming season, especially with the addition of Pierce and Jordan staying around. Question marks though continue to surround Dallas.
