Conor McGregor

UFC boss Dana White doesn’t seem to be a fan of a Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz rubber-match that would effectively end the trilogy between the two.

In the wake of McGregor’s win over Diaz at UFC 202, White announced (per TMZ Sports) “The war was fun and super successful but I’m movin’ on.” which means everyone else needs to move on as well because McGregor/Diaz tres probably isn’t happening.

So what’s next for McGregor?

Well, White wants him to defend the title against interim champ Jose Aldo meaning McGregor has two options according to the UFC Prez. Fight Aldo or surrender the the title to him and drop back down to 155-pounds to fight Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title.

155 would still be above McGregor’s usual fighting weight. Prior to going up to 168 to fight Diaz, McGregor was normally fighting around 145.

But you’d think a rubber-match between Diaz and McGregor would be logical. As far as I’m concerned nothing has been settled between these two in what’s been a great rivalry for UFC.
