Former NBA player and current broadcaster Charles Barkley has never shied away from making his opinions heard. He is arguably the biggest trash talker in NBA history which has carried over quite nicely to the broadcast booth.

So who was Barkley’s latest target?

On Wednesday Barkley was talking about the NBA Finals with ESPN 1000 in Chicago. He was then asked whether or not Miami is the worst professional sports town. Barkley then said:

“Yeah they have the worst fans. No question. It’s not even loud in there. You’re at the game and you are like, ‘Man this place isn’t even loud.’ At least when you go to Chicago, its loud in there, it’s crazy down in Dallas but it’s not even loud in Miami.”

Barkley wasn’t finished, he then discussed his thoughts on the Miami Heat in this series…

“Listen, if the Miami Heat were playing the Washington Generals I would pick the Washington Generals,” Barkley said with a chuckle. “It’s something about that team that annoys me.

“They just a whiny bunch and I can’t root for them.”

Obviously Miami fans didn’t take this very well, in fact TNT has had to move their pre-game shows from outside the American Airlines Arena in Miami to inside due to the negative interaction between Barkley and Heat fans.

Imagine what it could be like with Shaq and Barkley both on the same broadcast. Classic.
