Boston College was favored coming into their National Championship game against Ferris State and lived up to the hype as they defeated the Bulldogs 4-1 to become the NCAA Hockey Division I Champions.

BC goaltender Parker Milner was outstanding once again allowing only one goal in each of the Frozen Four games including two straight shutouts in the regionals. Despite the three goal win by Boston College the game was much closer as the Eagles scored two of their goals in the final three minutes of the third period.

With tonight’s win, Boston College won their final 19 games.

Despite winning the CCHA which includes national powerhouses in Michigan and Miami (OH), Ferris State was considered by many to be the underdog heading into the matchup. Ferris State though still played an excellent game and if it wasn’t for Milner the Bulldogs from the northern part of the lower peninsula of Michigan could’ve very well taken the game.
