NBA Draft Lottery

First the Celtics take their second-round series against the Washington Wizards, then take the NBA Draft Lottery. To say the very least, it’s been quite the 24-hours for the Boston who secured the top pick in next months NBA Draft with the Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers following at two and three respectively.

And speaking of the Los Angeles Lakers, aside from the Celtics LA may have been the biggest winner tonight as they were able to keep their second overall pick despite a five-game winning streak near the end of the season. And to all the naysayers out there who are against the idea of tanking, if the Lakers fell outside the lottery tonight LA had a good chance at losing both picks traded to the Phoenix Suns and Orlando Magic back in 2012 when they acquired the corpse of Steve Nash and perennial ass clown Dwight Howard. On the flip, the Lakers will pick second this year and keep their 2019 pick while Philly will take LA’s 2018 pick and Orlando will take on two meaningless second rounders.

Needless to say it sounds like LA will certainly take this fate and will probably come away with Lonzo Ball if of course the Celtics don’t rip out the hearts of Lakers fans everywhere.
