The Coyotes have been less than spectacular, but are inching closer to .500 with a win over a tough Sentators team. PHX 3 – 1 OTT

New York Islanders (6-5-0) @ Carolina (5-5-1)

The Islanders continue to impress, defeating the Hurricanes. NYI 3 – 1 CAR

Pittsburgh (4-7-0) @ Columbus (5-2-2)

The Penguins walked into Ohio looking for an easy win and were sorely mistaken, as the Blue Jackets break their losing streak. CBJ 3 – 1 PIT

Nashville (7-3-1) @ Chicago (5-4-0)

In a Central bout, the Blackhawks hoped to move a game closer to the Predators, but came up just short. NSH 2 – 1 CHI

Saturday November 3rd

Detroit (6-4-0) @ Edmonton (6-4-0)

The first period was scoreless, as the Wings and Oilers exchanged plays, Detroit outshot the Oilers, 11-9.

In the second, Detroit would strike first. Todd Bertuzzi (3) scores on a quick wrister to beat Dubnyk. It wouldn’t last however, just after the eleven minute mark in the period, Jordan Eberle (7) would beat Jimmy Howard from outside the faceoff circle to tie it up. Just over a minute later, Simon Gagner (6) would give Edmonton the lead. That would end the second period.

In the third, Edmonton would pull away. As Ben Eager (2) and Taylor Hall (2) would both in the middle of the period, to put the icing on the cake for the Oilers.

St. Louis (5-5-0) @ Los Angeles(7-3-0)

The Blues try to stay above .500 as they go to LA, the Kings however, look to regain the division from Nashville. LAK 3 – 2 STL

Anaheim (5-4-1) @ Philadelphia (5-4-1)

The Ducks continue their East tour, but in a Philly team that’s starting to heat up, they lose in a shootout. PHI 2 – 1 ANA SO

Chicago (5-4-0) @ Toronto (4-3-2)

Chicago looks to bounce back from a tough loss against the Leafs, and do so after a short rest from playing the night before. CHI 4 – 2 TOR

Pittsburgh (4-7-0) @ New Jersey (2-6-1)

The Penguins keep their losing streak going, as they move back into familiar territory, but lose to the loser Devils. NJD 2 – 1 PIT

Dallas (7-3-1) @ New York Islanders (6-5-0)

Two teams that have been surprise beasts this year match up, and it is a tight affair. The Stars come away with the win. DAL 1 – 0 NYI

Minnesota (4-4-2) @ Tampa Bay (4-5-0)

In a game between two teams that most thought would be better, goaltending is a problem. MIN 6 – 4 TBL

Winnipeg (5-4-0) @ Florida (5-4-0)

The Panthers welcome in the struggling Jets, and keep them struggling. FLA 4 – 2 WPG

Montreal (3-6-2) @ Vancouver (6-4-2)

The Canadiens try to keep their hot streak alive, but get dominated by the Canucks. VAN 5 – 2 MTL

Colorado (4-6-1) @ San Jose (3-5-2)

Two teams getting left behind in their division, Colorado blows out the Sharks. COL 6 – 3 SJS
