The Ducks continue their East coast trip, this time against the Senators. They pull off a win in regulation.

Dallas (8-3-1) @ Washington (8-4-0)

The Capitals were flying high off their 4-1 over Boston, but the Stars bring them back down to Earth with a blowout shutout.

Pittsburgh (5-7-0) @ Chicago (5-4-1)

The Penguins have been struggling mightly, and hope to turn it around and quick. They start with an overtime win in Chicago against the Blackhawks.

Florida (6-4-0) @ Carolina (5-5-2)

With two teams that are hard to decipher, they meet up in Raleigh, and the game goes the distance, with the Panthers eking out a shootout win over the Hurricanes.

FLA 2 – 1 CAR SO

San Jose (3-6-2) @ Colorado (5-6-1)

In a home and home series, the Sharks looked to gain some ground from the 6-3 mess in San Jose, however the Avalanche kept pouring on the goals, scoring 10 in just two games.

The Red Wings this week play three games:

On Election night, they will host the Edmonton Oilers, who trounced them 4-1 last Saturday.

On Friday night, they welcome the Calgary Flames, who just over a week before they beat 4-1.

The next night, Saturday, fans will get to see the man who spurned them, Ryan Suter and the Minnesota Wild, for the first time this year.

With a win on Sunday, Dallas moves two points ahead of the idle Predators for first place in the West with 17 points.

Despite a shutout loss to the Stars, the Capitals retain their place at top of the East with 16 points.

Jaromir Jagr, who many pegged as going for the money in Dallas, leads the league in goals with 8.

Whereas your point leaders, Mikko Koivu is benefiting from the signing of Zach Parise, he leads with 15. Parise, Corey Perry, and Alex Ovechkin follow with 14.

Kari Lehtonen has 8 wins for Dallas, Michal Neuvirth, Ryan Miller, and Tim Thomas follow with 7.

Jonas Hiller has been good for the Ducks, he is now second in Save Percentage among the league.
