The Detroit Red Wings try to extend their win streak against the Chicago Blackhawks tonight, Patrick Kane opened up the scoring at 9:36 in the first. It kept the lead through one.

 

Valtteri Filppula evened the game just after the second period started, but it wouldn’t last as Patrick Sharp retook the lead with 5 minutes left in the second.

 

Patrick Sharp would add to his goal total in the third, beating Howard with under four minutes left in the third and closing out the game for the Hawks.

Washington (5-1-0) @ Montreal   (0-4-1)

 

Montreal stays defeated, loses to a strong Capitals team 4-3.

 

Ottawa (3-0-2) @ Toronto (1-2-1)

 

Ottawa walks in to Toronto and continues their point streak, 4-1.

 

Dallas (3-1-1) @ Boston (4-0-1)

 

The Dallas Stars finally end the Bruins win streak, they lose at home, 2-1.

 

Winnipeg (2-2-0) @ Philadelphia (2-2-0)

 

The Jets take it to the upstart Flyers, shut them out 3-0.

 

Minnesota (1-3-0) @ St. Louis (2-2-0)

 

The Blues took it to the Wild in a close game. The Wild end up on the bottom end, 2-1.

 

Anaheim (3-1-1) @ Phoenix (1-3-0)

 

A big divisional matchup pushes the Ducks to a larger lead as the Coyotes fall 4-3.

 

Calgary (1-2-1) @ Colorado (2-3-0)

 

In a big division matchup, the Avalanche beat the Flames 4-1.

 

Buffalo (3-0-1) @ New York (2-3-0)

 

The Islanders continue their win streak, beat the undefeated Sabres in overtime, 3-2.

 

Carolina (2-3-0) @ San Jose (1-1-2)

 

Carolina continues their West Coast trip, and beats the Sharks in a shootout.

 

Notes: Logan Couture will bet out 1-2 weeks with a bruised arm.

 

Pittsburgh (3-2-0) @ Nashville (2-2-1)

 

Pittsburgh went into Nashville and fought a hard battle to come out with a victory.

 

Notes: PIT Sidney Crosby was injured, will be out for three weeks a concussion.
