The Bears continued their run to an NFC North title with their 13-7 win over the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football.

Chicago got all the points they needed in the first quarter as their defense was able to shut down Detroit until the final minutes of the fourth quarter.

The Bears scored their only touchdown of the night on their first offensive drive when Jay Cutler found Brandon Marshall for a 7 yard touchdown reception. After this Robbie Gould hit field goals from 39 and 21 yards out.

Cutler finished his night 16/31 with 150 yards and 1 touchdown.

Matt Forte had 22 carries for 96 yards.

Meanwhile Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was 28/46 with 261 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception.

Calvin Johnson had only 3 receptions for 34 yards while being targeted 11 times.

Detroit though had plenty of opportunities to win the game.

After getting themselves into the history books earlier in the season on special teams (giving up a touchdown on the kickoff and punt return on consecutive weeks in the Super Bowl era) the Lions become the first team with three red zone turnovers since the 2010 Carolina Panthers in Week 1.

NOTES: The Lions lost WR Nate Burleson for the rest of the season with a broken leg. Lions rookie WR Ryan Broyles scored his first career touchdown in the final minute of the 4th quarter on a 12 yard pass from Matthew Stafford.
