Yankees fans were left holding their breath during the first inning of tonight’s All-Star Game after their star second baseman and pretty much only healthy regular left Robinson Cano was hit on the knee by Mets pitcher Matt Harvey. Cano was visibly shaken on the play but remained in the game until Jim Leyland took him out after Miguel Cabrera went down on strikes.

X-Rays came back negative on Cano’s knee as he was diagnosed with a quad contusion. He also said he plans on playing Friday in Boston.
