According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, the Cleveland Indians have reportedly hired former Red Sox manager Terry Francona with an official announcement coming Monday.

Francona, who took last season off after a disappointing end to his Red Sox career, interviewed with the Indians Friday after both sides were mutually interested in working together.

If the reports are correct the hiring of Francona does fall somewhat outside of the box for the Indians who have been very frugal in the past in terms of their spending. Despite that though the addition for Francona should definitely bring in some credibility to a franchise that was very much in need of it the past few seasons.
