Sources have indicated to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times (via Twitter), that three different teams have made three year deals in the price range that the veteran left hander is seeking. In addition to the monetary value, Buehrle and his agent are also looking for a no trade clause that neither team of the three has included in their deals. However, Cowley reports that two of the three teams, who are believed to be from the National League are close to including the no-trade clause in their deals.

The three mystery teams could be the Detroit Tigers, Miami Marlins and the Washington Nationals. The Nationals however are said to be major players for another lefty starter in C.J. Wilson.

Buehrle is expected to give Ken Williams and the Chicago White Sox one final shot to match any offer however it seems very likely that Buehrle will be pitching for a new team in 2012.
