It didn’t look good for the Yankees in a rain filled matinee from Yankee Stadium on Thursday afternoon, however their lucked turned in a big way.

After falling behind 7-1 early, the Yankees stormed back by hitting an MLB record three grand slams in one game on their way to a 22-9 dismantling of the Oakland A’s.

The slams came courtesy of Robinson Cano, Russell Martin and Curtis Granderson.

“I’m surprised it hadn’t been done before with all the great teams and great individual hitters that have come throughout the course of the game,” Granderson said.
