The Wizards perhaps lost in one of the most heartbreaking ways Friday night.
With six seconds left and Washington down 94-91 Paul Pierce appeared hit a buzzer beater to tie the game at 94 sending things to overtime. It would’ve been a miraculous cap to things after the Wizards managed to rally in the fourth, briefly take the lead before the Hawks didn’t seem to want to get out of Washington with a win.
Except Paul Pierce didn’t beat the buzzer…
Upon further review the clock was at all zero’s before the ball left Pierce’s hands meaning the basket didn’t count, Washington loses 94-91 and the Hawks are moving on in the series.
