Brock Lesnar’s MMA career appears to be over.

Tuesday afternoon, the former UFC Champion and current WWE champion said on SportsCenter that his MMA career is over and that he signed a ‘deal he couldn’t refuse’ with the pro wrestling promotion.

“I was born to be an entertainer,” he said. “I have fun doing it. I could go back to the Octagon, and what am I going to gain? I was the UFC champ of the world.”

“I’m officially closing the door on MMA,” before announcing that he’s re-signed with WWE.

There’s no word on the specifics with Lesnar’s new contract but the new deal certainly adds some intrigue to Sunday’s main event at Wrestlemania. Prior to today Lesnar’s deal with the WWE was set to expire after the event leading many to believe Roman Reigns would walk out of the PPV with the title. With Lesnar though re-signing WWE writers may now be scrambling to rework the outcome of that title match.
