Ten times is apparently the charm as No. 14 UAB knocked off three-seeded Iowa State 60-59 in a second round upset, the first of the 2015 NCAA Tournament.

But what happened 10 times around for UAB?

After going zero for their last nine in three point attempts,  Robert Brown sank one from downtown with less than a minute remaining to give the Blazers a 56-55 lead. Iowa State’s Monte Morris was able to get a quick two on the ensuing possession however UAB sealed the deal when Wiliam Lee hit an easy jumper from the foul line.

Essentially this game came down to UAB being put in a nice position to give fouls late and Iowa State’s Georges Niang finishing with just 11 points on 4-of-15 shooting.
