Maple Leafs backed out of Dion Phaneuf trade with Detroit

According to Pat Leggs of Sirius XM 167 and NHLNFA.com, the Red Wings and Maple Leafs had a trade on the table that would have sent Stephen Weiss from Detroit to Toronto in exchange for Maple Leafs defenseman Dion Phaneuf.
