A large contingent of anti-Redskins supporters rallied outside TCF Bank Stadium prior to today’s Minnesota/Washington game.

The crowd estimated in upwards of 5,000 people according to the AP consisted of what appeared to be some Redskins fans.  The event started with a march through the University of Minnesota campus to TCF Bank Stadium where Native American leaders, local politicians, former sports stars and other speakers voiced their strong opinions against Redskins owner Dan Snyder who refuses to change a blatantly racist name while having the backing of the NFL.

The group called for the Vikings to remove all references to the Redskins during the game.

Meanwhile the Vikings took the safe route in all of this saying they were ‘sensitive to the issue’ but had to abide to the NFL’s guidelines requiring such a display.

I’m wondering if this is the same policy they took towards Chris Kluwe?
