The Cavaliers decided not to get cute this year and went with a pretty much sure thing when they took Andrew Wiggins with first overall pick.

Wiggins, a freshman with Kansas surprised no one with this pick especially after he averaged 17 ppg and 6 rpg for the Jayhawks last season. He was especially good though after center Joel Embiid went down with a back injury. From there Wiggins increased his game average to 20 points.

So with their third first overall pick the past four years the Cavs have assembled a very nice young core that includes Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters and now Wiggins which can do some damage in the East.

Are you seeing this LeBron?

Going second to Milwaukee was Duke’s Jabari Parker which again wasn’t a surprise considering the foot injury to Joel Embiid.

Wiggins, who is widely considered the most NBA ready player in the Draft goes to a Bucks team who also has a growing young nucleus that includes Giannis Antetokounmpo. Wiggins also reportedly wanted to go to Milwaukee since it’s very close to his hometown of Chicago.
