Ok these are the guys who, I think will be dealt before the trade deadline and could possibly help a team to the Playoffs. Starting things off is a guy who has had a pretty good comeback after missing a year and playing for an Independent team (Sugarland Skeeters) and most baseball fans thought he was done for:

1) Scott Kazmir (Oakland Athletics)

Scott Kazmir made a pretty good comeback with the Cleveland Indians in 2013. Missing the entire season in 2012, but playing for the Sugarland Skeeters in Independent Baseball. He struggled with his control and velocity but then has shown that he is the pitcher that he used to be back in his Tampa Rays days. Oakland his hurting very badly this season and are willing to send Kazmir out of Oakland for good prospects and really doesn’t have a chance at the Division now. Kazmir is 17-11 and with a 3.45 ERA as an Oakland Athletic.

Teams he could end up with (BOS, NYY, LAD, STL, DET)

2) Jose Bautista (Toronto Blue Jays)

Jose Bautista has a $14 Million team option in 2016, With the Blue Jays on the verge of still rebuilding, this would be the best time to trade off Bautista. Jose has hit 194 HR in the past 5 season. That’s an average of barely less than 40-bombs per season. You can expect a team that is fighting for the division to go after him. Most likely a team in the AL, cause he will most likely be playing DH.

3) Mark Trumbo (Arizona Diamondbacks)

As much as the Diamondbacks were hoping to make a future team with Trumbo in it, It looks like they’re heading the opposite way they wanted to go. The Diamondbacks are so bad, that this would be the time to trade Trumbo, because his value is so high right now and how injury prone he has been over the past few years. He is showing his power and average as of right now of the season. The Diamondbacks should be starting to begin rebuild mode once again and try to create the talent they have in the farm system and hoping they will be ready in a few years.

4) Chris Tillman (Baltimore Orioles)

As the Orioles keep falling behind in the American League East, this would be the best time to trade Tillman to a team that is fighting to win a division. At this time of Tillman’s career, would be the best time to get solid prospects in return to start building your team up for the future. Tillman is off to a rough start but with a new look for a team for him could change his momentum for bouncing back and having a better second half of the season.

5) Jay Bruce (Cincinnati Reds)

Jay-Bruce-homering

Jay Bruce has struggled the past few seasons. Very little power and his batting average has dropped well below .250. He is only 28 and with the right hitting coach and a new team in the American League, so he can DH off and on. I feel that would help all around and bring back that power he has shown in the past. the Reds are hoping he can bounce back a little before the trade deadline to boost up his trade value. But I can see that a AL team will trade for him for OF depth and Power off the Bench.

6) Justin Morneau (Colorado Rockies)

A guy who was named comeback player of the year in 2014 for the NL, has shown a ton of improvement. Playing for the Rockies and who are struggling for Pitchers, could receive something big for this guy. Morneau shown he can still hit for average but his power is not even close to what is was back in his Minnesota days. He can still play good defense and give you that lefty bat in your line up.

Teams he could go too (MIN, BOS, NYY, STL, CLE, TB)

7) Cole Hamels (Philadelphia Phillies)

Hamels has been the talk of trade rumors before the middle of last season. The Phillies are just horrible and need to ship him out. His value is shrinking as we speak. The only offset of him being shipped out is his contract he is under. Most teams will not pay what he is getting. (7 year – $159 Mill and an option in 2019). The way Hamels is pitching, Its not the way a $159 million dollar pitcher should be pitching. Despite pitching in Philadelphia, he should be still putting up okay numbers. I can give him the matter of fact, that with all the publicity he is getting could be getting to his head. That’s why its time for him to go.

8) Ben Zobrist (Oakland Athletics)

Even tho Oakland just got him in the offseason and Billy Bean was expecting the team to do a lot better than what they have shown in 2015 season. Zobrist would be a good trade value for Oakland to start rebuilding again. The A’s have shown to be one of the worse teams on the AL. After acquiring Butler, Zobrist, and Lawrie in the offseason. You would of expected them do be a good hitting team, but they haven’t shown that so far this year. So Zobrist would be the best guy to send out to get something for. Zobrist can play all positions except Pitcher and Catcher. Any team would go after him if they are trying to compete.

9) Chris Davis (Baltimore Orioles)

Davis missed most of 2014 season due to amphetamines. But he would be a guy that Baltimore would send out to receive some young talent for the farm system. Davis is basically a DH and a power bat coming off the bench at this point of his career. He will have a lot of work to show to get a team to let him start at 1B again and he needs to stay consistent with his power again. He’s shown he can be a 30 plus home run hitter but do we know if that was from the amphetamines or is it real true power.

10) Troy Tulowitzki (Colorado Rockies)

Okay, we all know the trade rumors for Tulowitzki have been around for years. But this season could be the year. But will a team take over his 6 year, $118 million dollar contract for a guy who hasn’t been able to stay healthy? Who knows, but I do feel a team will try to go after him cause when he is healthy, He’s the best Short Stop in the game. Power and average and plays great defense. He defiantly needs to go the AL to help keep him healthy. Giving him some starts at DH would improve his talents, Which are freaking great as they already are. He’s going to be a future 3B in the years to come. His range has dropped some but is still passable for a good SS. He could be a last minute trade when the trade deadline comes around.

Every day is a new opportunity. You can build on yesterday’s success or put its failures behind and start over again. That’s the way life is, with a new game every day, and that’s the way baseball is. -Bob Feller
